Credibility and Trust: The perceived value of photojournalism

MJC Research Group

Hubbard School instructor Sara Quinn is completing a fellowship with the Reynolds Journalism Institute this month to add to previous eye-tracking research on the impact of professional photojournalism. Combined with interviews with 22 visual leaders from around the U.S., she has used the research to create training materials for newsrooms to enhance the understanding and utilization of visual storytelling as an integral aspect of the coverage of their communities.

She will share results, a new automated testing platform for visual media created with Graham Latorney, developer and principle of the visual storytelling platform Visura.co, and plans for future research.
