Why We Give

Hubbard School donors share what giving means to them.

Why I Give: Joy Viola

Why I Give: Joan Halgren

Why I Give: Jill Braaten (B.A. '91)

Have you ever benefited from the kindness and generosity of someone else? For Jill Braaten the answer is easy; she has benefited greatly. One particularly significant act of generosity came to when she was a young student entering the Journalism School at the University of Minnesota, and it has impacted her life ever since.

Why We Give: Jim & Jen Schweigert

"We wanted to be more directed in our giving and set something up so it has a purpose. We wanted to give right away, because we were in a position to do that. We both went to the J-school, so it is a nice little niche to support."

We appreciate the support!
