Professor Jane Kirtley was a signatory to an amicus brief in Los Angeles Press Club v. Kristi Noem, in the U.S. Court of Appeals (9th Circuit) filed on November 25, 2025. The case deals with the “First Amendment interests protected by the district court's injunction securing the right of journalists and legal observers to observe and record protests, even when others are engaging in violent acts.”  The amicus brief is available here.
